Key Attributes - Cdn.Ch.
Nevedith Local Lancer (Lancer)
 | Winner of an RCC as a puppy
at the Whippet Club of Scotland before coming to Canada Lancer
finished his Cdn.Ch. undefeated in the dog classes under Canadian
judge Max Magder. |
 | Just 19.75 inches, with a
perfect topline, and with solid bone and substance, Lancer very
closely resembles his famous sire, Eng.Ch. Nevedith Justa Jesta in
every way but colour. His movement is exquisite. A black brindle and
white dog with black eyes Lancer is proving to be a pre-potent sire,
stamping his get with his outstanding qualities, including correct
size for the breed, superb shoulders and excellent movement
epitomized by outstanding reach and drive. |
 |
Sire of all the Avalonia single malt
Scotch litters, Lancer produced 9 litters during his lifetime at
Avalonia, including one outside litter at Clearhounds whippets here
in Canada. Twelve of his
sons and daughters are champions in Canada, the U.S. and Europe,
with a number of them holding multiple champions, including
International Ch. titles in Europe.
Lancer children and their descendants are found today in
Canada, the US, France, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Germany. |
 |
Lancer’s last litter was a two-pup litter out of Cdn.Ch. Avalonia
Barbados. New pages for
those two sons – Cdn.Ch. Avalonia Edradour and Cdn.Ch. Avalonia
Glenlochy – have been added to this website.

Lancer died within weeks of his
diagnosis with an always fatal, fast-moving soft-tissue sarcoma, in
September 2005. He was
only 11. He is deeply, deeply missed.
