Kurrek asked us to recommend a whippet that would fall fully within
the German standard we had no hesitation in recommending Lucas.
Moderate in every respect this lovely young dog has fulfilled the
promise that was so evident in him as a youngster and is maturing
into a splendid young male. He should be a major factor both in the
show ring and in the whelping box for years to come. |
| In keeping with German show
requirements, Lucas was not eligible for adult awards, such as the
CAC, until after he turned 15 months. He spent the time to that
point shown and winning in the junior dog classes. Lucas earned his
first CAC (5 needed for a German championship, with the last coming
at least 12 months after the first), in the first show he was
eligible to win it at, Hildesheim on 16 July, 2000. In January 2001
Lucas's owners were posted to Poland and he set about conquering new
territories. In his show debut in March 2001 Lucas earned his first
CC in Poland towards his Polish championship. He will be shown in
2001 in both Poland and Germany. |
