Avalonia Lagavulin (Buffy)
 | Buffy continues the tradition of incredibly sound and stunning
bitches coming from the litters sired by Cdn.Ch. Nevedith Local
Lancer. Her litter sister, Fin.Ch. Avalonia Glen Scotia, ended 2000
as the top junior female whippet and number 3 bitch in Finland.

| At 18.5 inches (47 cms), with black eyes and wonderful pigment,
and with lovely shoulders, tons of reach and drive and an absolutely
correct topline that holds on the move, Buffy is a whippet who would
be at home anywhere in the world.

| Buffy has had three litters for Avalonia and is now retired from
maternal duties. Buffy's first litter, sired by Cdn.Ch.
Avalonia Wotta Jesta, was born in May 2001. Avalonia retained
two females from this litter: Avalonia Ella Fitzgerald, who
resembles mom, and Cdn.Ch. Avalonia Billie
Holiday, a lemon brindle and white Irish marked particolour. A
litter brother, owned by Allayne Jones of Ottawa, was successfully
campaigned to his Canadian title. He is Cdn.Ch. Avalonia Duke
Ellington.

| This breeding was repeated and on 25 August 2004, produced another
Jazz greats themed litter out of which we retained Avalonia Oscar
Peterson, who is half way to his Cdn.Ch. title. Oscar will be shown
again in 2007 after taking time to grow up and fill out. Oscar now
has his own page on this website.

| Buffy's final litter was sired by Cdn.Ch. Nevedith Hfa Hanky Panky
(Eng.Ch. Nevedith Justa Jesta x Nevedith Xfa Xanthia) and was born
on 20 September 2006. Avalonia has retained a mostly white female
very reminiscent of Buffy's dam, Sporting Field Perfection, to carry
on the family line. Known too as Amanda, after her grandmother, she
is registered as Avalonia Chesty Morgan. |
