Key Attributes - Am.Cdn.Ch. Amazone's Glastonbury Lily
 | Lily is the Avalonia business
card poster girl and dam of our foundation litter. She was bred by
Wiebke Heron (Amazone). |
 | Three-quarters English via her
sire, Nevedith Wood Chip, and her maternal grandsire, Solera Soldier
of Fortune, FChX, virtually every litter to date has Lily and Wood
Chip in it. Lily started and finished her Cdn.Ch. with BOB wins and
group placements. Her AKC title came in her first four shows in the
US where she took 4 point majors, 4 days in a row, on the
Kentuckiana circuit to finish. |
 | We kept three pups
from Lily's first litter, born on 7 October 1991, and sired by
Eng.Am.Cdn.Ch. Nevedith Up Town Guy, who was also the sire of
England's all time top winning whippet, Eng.Ch. Nutshell of Nevedith.
Lily son Cdn.Ch. Glastonbury Victoria n' Albert, and daughter
Glastonbury Victoria Regina, continue to figure prominently in the
Avalonia breeding program. Avalonia Dom Perignon (see new page for Dom
Perignon), is a son of G. Victoria n' Albert and a grandson of
Victoria Regina. |
 | Lily's second
litter, born in June 1993, was sired by Am.Cdn.Ch. Carbeth Logan
Sporting Field. Two of that litter became Cdn.Chs - Cdn.Ch.
Glastonbury Alabama, who remained with Avalonia for her entire life (Bamma
died unexpectedly on 10 October 2004, three days before her mother),
and Cdn.Ch. Avalonia Lousiana, CDX - who was also top obedience
whippet in Canada one year. |
 | Lily lived a long,
full and healthy life and died at 15 on a warm fall day on 13 October
2004.
